I am considering trading in my Suburban - don't worry, not leaving the community! I am going to trade for a lower mile Suburban. I did a BB tune 21k miles/9 months ago, so my AFM has been disabled for as long.

So there are no questions during a dealer test drive ("hey, why doesn't it go into V4 mode?"), I was thinking about reverting back to a stock tune. But before I do, I want to make sure that my engine won't grenade itself the first time it kicks into V4 mode, considering the AFM hardware hasn't been used in so long. If that's a possibility at all, I'll just leave the BB tune on there.

Thanks in advance!

You'd be the first. Lol. No there should be no problems if you put the stock tune back in. same with the range Afm that plugs into your dlc. Plugged in, cancels the Afm and removed Afm work normally.
