hey everyone, so i am looking to get a viper car alarm, with the remote start. I have the factory remote start already in the car. is there any way this will conflict with the factory or do i have to get something else.

Make sure you get it professionally installed by a knowledgeable installer. I've read some commentary on various sites that it could interfere with the factory remote start if not properly installed. I have it on my trucks and it's great, however, I did not have factory remote start as one of my options.

I installed a viper system in my 07 tahoe (granted I used to work at a car audio shop and knew what I was doing) but it worked flawlessly with the factory key fob as it should

I installed a Compustar 7200 brain with the 2way 1mile remote controls. Install was AWESOME because the interface snaps into the brain of the remote starter. Only about 9 wires were needed to install the whole system.

I installed a viper 2 way remote system in mine as well. I used to install car alarms years ago and wish they had all the computer modules back then, would have made my job much easier. With the DEI dball2 there was only 3 wires to hook up to the OBDII connector. I have the factory remote start but wanted a long range remote. I also added the bluetooth proximity keyless entry accessory so the truck unlocks when I approach it. Never had an issue with any Viper product interfering with anything but you do need to hook it up to the correct wires.

What are you looking for with the Viper? Long range starting, 2 way etc..

Are you planning on doing this yourself?

If you are only wanting longer range in a remote starter you should use the ft-gm10 from compustar. It is totally plug and play. The unit is about the size of a pack of cigarettes. You can then match that up to any of their remote controllers. Plus it's totally programmable to operated heated seats and the like. Goto http://cdncontent2.idatalink.com/corporate/Content/Manuals/RS-GM10/COM-GM(RS)-GM10-[FT-GM10-DC]-EN_20140807.pdf and you can scroll through to find installation guides. First time I did one took me a total of 30 minutes to install

NO, going to take it somewhere. How do you like that accessory, i was looking at it and it seemed a lil gimmicky for me. But again i have never used or seen it in person. I was looking at the proximity sensor

It works pretty good. I got it off ebay for $80. Only complaint I have is there is no way to prevent it from locking while running if I step out of the truck with my phone. This is only an issue when I take my boat out as I have someone else back the truck in while I launch the boat. I just disable the feature then. The Bluetooth features work perfectly and make it so I can leave the keys in the truck when I don't want to carry them around.

I have a Grand Cherokee with keyless entry and start so I really got used to just walking up and the truck unlocked itself. This accessory is the closest thing to it just minus the keyless ignition. I'd say it was worth the money and I would buy it again.
