How are the aftermarket chrome CK 375 wheels holding up? I saw some posts from back in 2012 where some fellas bought them, but now I can't figure out how to get back to those guys to ask them how the wheels are holding up.....
I did not end up buying as clean of a 2010 LTZ as I hoped, and I don't want to feel foolish on the wheel purchase, also.
I would like to run the 22's in the Northern Indiana Summer, and I'll throw on my old ugly aluminum 20's for the winter.
I see what appear to reasonable rims for approx. $1,260ish on ebay, and rim/tire packages for $2,500.00ish, and if they last, and are good wheels, I want some. The OEM rims are about $2,500, (when i can find them), without tires.....and that's pushing my budget.
I am not proficient at finding the info I want here, and can see that the tolerance for my lack of understanding in using the forum is low. I tried not to make a new post, but I am getting no where. Thanks for any and all help. I need it...

Some people don't have their trucks and/or wheels longer than 2 years...... so no feedback..... that's about when the issues with them arise...... if any.

As far as claiming warranty if anything does happen..... good luck with that. They all want you to break the wheel down and send it in. I think you pay for shipping sending them there and then they examine the wheel. Its at their discretion it they will replace it or not.

I would seal the wheels as soon as you got them with something like car pro DLUX. Wash them regularly and you should have no problems at all.

Chrome seems to be the thinnest at around the lug holes and water sitting there can cause issues. So clean your hole.

Keep in mind that the chrome is been known to peel on factory OEM wheels as well. And both gm and ford have denied replacement to some people.

Just seal and clean them often ...... run separate wheels in the winter and you should have no problems at all.

Thanks for the reply. It's all logical and straight forward. I am EXTREMELY **** about my wheels, and have wondered if the level of 'care' I bring to the table might be doing more harm than good.
My wife has an Infiniti I35 with chrome aluminum wheels, and I have always used Westley's Bleche-Wite to clean the rims and tires, and they are always dressed with Armor All. The chrome eventually started peeling off of those wheels also, and they could not have been cleaner or better cared for if I took them inside tucked them into bed at night. I have wondered if the Westley's or the Armor All could do damage after hundreds of applications, but there is nothing to prove anything one way or the other.
The subject appears to be one of, not IF, but WHEN is the chrome going to peel off, and that sucks.

I bought some ck375 reps mid-2012 and still have them. They've been on three different vehicles and lived in CO for a year with them. The inner barrel of the wheel and the surroundings of the lug nut hole is pitting and/or peeling. The face of the wheel is holding up good. Part of this is my fault as I didn't clean/wash them as often as I should have, especially the winter I lived in Denver, CO where it dumped snow everyday during winter.

I have 20" ck375 reps. I have had them about 5 months ad they have now been through a full winter. I put zero protection on them and they have been threw quite a bit of salt and snow..As said above, around the lug nut holes seems to be the most vulnerable part.. i can see the VERY early stages of peeling or possible pitting, but when I get my summer wheels, and have a chance to clean mine up I'm sure I can save them..next winter I'm probably going to put a protective layer on them maybe even plastidip them for winter.

It's go time.....

Federal income taxes are paid, and its rim buying time! Is there a clear leader in this aftermarket replica rim supplying arena? Somebody that you all know about, that has better product than everyone else? This is really important to me, and I need to buy smart..... Thank you to you folks here. I appreciate the help.

I am a professional auto detailer. I never use armor all products. They are known to cause damage. Especially their interior care products will cause damage toGM interiors. Armor all tires shine sucks cuz it's goupy and it throws kick up everywhere because it's oil based. It will also stain chrome wheels if overspray is left on the wheel. I use a company called chemical guys based out LA for most of my products. Their rim cleaning product diablo gel is excellent. They also sell a water based shine product called silk shine that can be used for tires as well as plastic trim. It doesn't stain and it goes on clean doesn't throw kick up when driving.

X2 on chemical guys products. I only buy from them as well. Great quality products. Look them up on YouTube they post lots of great videos on how to use their products.

Chemical Guys is hit or miss..... its another company selling hype.

I have used a lot of their products. Some excel and some suck.

There are also one of the few companies with redundant product line. They have 4 different dressings and 10 different waxes...... some dumbass does their planning and marketing.

They do use attractive women in some of their videos.
