Hello everyone I am in need of some help I got a 24hr deal at a local parts place for a pillar pod gauge set for my 2000 suburban 5.3 engind but I have different options on the water temp gauge sensor I want to keep my factory drivers side one installed so I was told there I a good place to mount a sensor on the rear pass side of the head theres a plug that can be removed the question I have is that what size is that hole so I can get a sensor to match it instead of installing a adapter to make it fit need info ASAP gotta make my purchase before 10am tomorrow morning to get it at that price thanks anyone for there time and info

I have to be honest, I have no idea what you're asking

I think he's asking if his 2000 nbs has a second coolant temp sensor location he can utilize for an aftermarket gauge while keeping the factory one in its current location.

No you don't have any other options. You should be able to tap into the wires on the pcm though and get a read from that

You might also be able to install one in line with the heater core hoses. That should be reading proper coolant temp. Just put it on the outboard side, not the return side.

What are you doing that you want a mechanical gauge vs. a tablet display?
