Going through with stockers is a bit tight, what do you guys do that have aftermarket wheels and tires? Do any of you use auto car washes? Has anyone had any problems with these types of car washes?

Im talking about the car washes where you pull up, put your car in "N" and it guides your car through. Uses some sort of wheel/tire track.

Most auto car washes have a sign out front that they are not responsible for any damage to aftermarket parts on your ride. That right there should tell ya something.....

I, for one, very rarely take any of my rides through an automatic car wash.

That means jack. Liability is liability. Simoniz ****** up a brand new set of 22" one off Intros I had for 3 weeks. They paid to have them sent back to Intro and repaired properly. $1200 later.

Automatic washes won't jack up you wheels if you watch how you drive into the track. If not, you could end up with curb rash!

I go through auto car washes quite frequently. Although, I've never been to an auto car wash that pulls you through. I have the stock LTZ 20s, and I haven't had any trouble. Unless you count the high-pressure rinse causing my sunroof to leak a bit at the back... :(.

I was looking for a quick wash one time and took a chance. Mine went through without any issues, scraps, etc... I ride 26's But I know that those car washes aren't good for your paint.

low profile tires could cause an issue but nothing stock would be an issue at all. i take my tundra through one all the time and its lifted 3/1.5 on aggressive and wide 20 inch wheels/tires... fits just fine. have to fold the mirrors in but no issues with the rims. that said, if i had the low profile tires associated with some 22s or larger i woudlnt just because of the chance of rubbing the metal pipe track. stock isnt an issue at all.

I can't remember the last time I took one of my cars through the car wash. Forget how they could damage your wheels -- what about your paint?! If you're interested in your truck's paint looking good and holding up over time, you'll wash it yourself.
