Hello guys, Hope everyone is doing great !

I have a 2003 HOE 5.3 Vortec Flex Fuel.

I swapped out the BCM on my vehicle and was able to re-program all OEM features and the truck is now working. My only remaining issue is that as a result of swapping the BCM I now have an airbag light that turns off once and comes back on and stays solid upon turning on the vehicle. A scan tool comes up with the code B1001. Any info on how to fix this issue would be greatly appreciated.

I think your BCM needs to be synchronized to the SDM (essentially, your vehicle's black box). Both modules are VIN-coded. Most likely you have the old VIN in the BCM and just need it flashed with the new VIN. This has to be done with an advanced bi-directional scan tool like the GM Tech II, or maybe a Snap-on or an Autel if you're lucky.

Well I appreciate your response. I bought this new BCM on ebay from a seller who supposedly re flashed it to my specific vehicle. They asked for my VIN, Year, Make, Model, Trim, and Engine type. So does this mean they did not actually re flash my VIN into this BCM ?
