I just had a alarm installed in my 99 hoe, the guy told me i needed new door jam switch. ( which i can tell i needed cuz my doom lights would turn on when they wanted ) so now i put those in and if i disarm the alarm to get in the truck for something and then close the door and arm it. the pager tells me the door is still open. so i try opening and closing the door again and keeps telling me its open. and will not stop unless i put the key in the ignition and turn key to on and then off. what is going on? :emotions122: :mad3:

I sure did... i took out the old ones, unplugged them. and then plugged in the new ones. but its just strange that if i just remote start or just put the key in the ignition and turn key on and off. it fixes the problem

unknown at this time.
The alarm may not be able to deal with the interior light module on your truck. Any good alarm can be programmed to do so. If the option is not on the alarm then it is a piece of junk. Consult with the alarm manufacturer or dealer. There is also a possibility they used the wrong door trigger polarity setup.
