I need a good all season tire that will work in light/moderate snow. Planning several trips to Tahoe as I live in N. California. Will mostly be on pavement but when a storm hits the mountain highway can get a layer of snow and is at sometimes icey as well. I was looking at Nokian WGR3 but they only make them for up to 21" wheels. I was thinking maybe blizzacks but read they wear so fast on dry pavement which will be more than half the trip to tahoe. What do you guys recommend?

I run Nitto NT420S 285/45/22 all year long and they work great. I live in Missouri and we see it all rain, snow etc....they are smooth and a great all season tire.

I'm on my 4th year with Blizzacks and absolutely love them. Though I do only run them during the late fall, winter and remove in early spring hear in Washington. They are great as long as I don't run them too ******* dry pavement with temperatures above 55. Best tire I've ever had for rain, snow, and ice.

Thanks for the suggestions. Blizzacks sound great but am looking more for something I wouldn't need an extra set of wheels for. The 420s sound interesting. Never knew they were good in the snow as well.

Any other suggestions?

I run Bridgestone duellers 285/45/22 and never got stuck in snow. We just got some snow with nice size drifts and I didn't even put it in 4wheel drive. And the reason I run these tires are because I find sets on my local craigslist with 9/32nds of tread for $150-300 bucks for all four. Can't beat that

What massive said. I run duelers as well and never had a problem here in pa. 8plus inches of snow is normal here and never had an issue. Plus like he said, real easy to pick up a set on cl

Ok cool. Have duelers on right now I believe that's the stock tire on escalades isn't it.

I ran a set of Nitto 420s as well.
Have Kumho now, Nitto hands down a better tire.
Live in KC, Mo. Snow, ice, we get it all
