so, sometimes the truck will tell me to start vehicle because battery is low. battery looks like a cheapo. so the stalls happen if I try to floor it it will hesitate and engine light goes on for a second. now I did fill up the gas tank with standard unleaded gas from Costco. should I be using the higher octane gas? don't know where to find e85 gas. not sure if it's the gas I'm using causing this or the shit battery? 2010 yukon non xl with v8 flex fuel

You'd be surprised on what kind of problems a bad battery could cause. Take it to Napa or auto store and see if they will load test he battery for you. You're most likely going to need to take it to them out of the car.
I'd start simple before blaming gas. You suspect the battery, have it tested

I'm really pissed.
went over to napa had a Load test done, everything checks out. but truck wants to stall and the relay thing on the positive battery melted and caught fire also melted the red cover. no idea what that part is but I made an appt for tmrw at the place where I got the truck. tore them a new ass on the phone. going to drive an hour out there early, wait to see what the problem is than hurry back to get to work.

I guess some how the battery cables were loose. but got home and now I'm getting p0202 and a rough idle, ****** braking, and stabilitrak disabled, service. yay me. thought selling my old truck which had issues with misfiring was going to go away getting a new ride but I guess NOT.

There's your problem. Melted terminal. There's probably so much unwanted resistance causing all those funky problems. Replace that battery cable and replace that battery.

Check your grounds too. You'll have at least one from battery to frame and frame to body. You'll probably find them at the...

1) driver rear, outside the frame rail behind the bumper
2) front behind the bumper at the head of the passenger frame rail
3) leading from the battery in the engine compartment.

Clean them up and you'll be surprised how many problems that will fix.

I'm at carmax where I got the truck. and we'll see I'd they fix the issues. battery seems fine after going to my mechanic. they found that relay from the battery was loose and causing high amps that's why it got so hot it started to smoke and catch fire. but after that problem was fixed my truck went into limp mode and stabilitrak shut off and says to service it. felt like two cylinders disabled. abs sucks but no light for that. hopefully the electrical and engine is not ruined due to this. my other truck had a few bad coils and spark plugs and it did the same thing but did not have stabilitrak like the new truck. cleaning the eprom or ecm won't fix the misfire and stabilitrak error right? I'm worried their going to hack it so it seems like it's working.... like people do to pass smog, unplugging engine light etc etc. maybe I'm just paranoid lol

Can you get out of that truck and get a different one? Clearing the codes won't fix the problem until whatever causing the misfire is fixed. Cleaning codes also won't make it pass emissions or state inspections. Every time the pcm is reset so are items in the pcm required to pass emissions. Some are o2 sensors, evap and catalyst converters.
If the machine sees more than one item not ready, it Will fail. Not all states do emissions thought. This I known because I'm a state inspector for Rhode Island
