Just recently, after installing my 4 channel amp, my alternator whines through my door speakers. I had my aftermarker head unit in on my factory amp and i had no issue's, but as soon as I put the 4 channel in it started. My power, and grounds are secure, and my RCA's and power wires are ran on opposite sides of the car. Also i have tried grounding my RCA's, but no luck. I noticed that if i remove the RCA's from the amp the whine stops, but if i only remove them from the HU the whine get's considerable worse.

Is there anything else i can try?

i ran another pair of rca's, and it didn't help. I tried swithching out the HU, and that didn't help. I'm thinking maybe the fuel pump is interfering my amp, so i'm going to move it to a different spot and see what happens.

Go to RadioShack and pick up some RCA noise filters. It's made for that exact issue.
