Ambient Light Sensor

I want to put the light sensor back in the dash. The outside tinted case is still in the dash but the actual sensor fell out. Please let me know how to fix it.

I do not know how to fix the sensor but if it happened to me, I would start by taking off the top part of the dashboard to get a better look. From there I would look to see where I was and if I needed to take anything else apart to get to the sensor. Let me ask you a question however; how do you know the sensor fell out? Can you see through the tinted bulb looking thing on the dash? Perhaps the sensor is bad and needs to be replaced.
