When I was wiring my new amp and came to the remote on/off wire I just cut the blue/white wire coming out of the head unit and attached the remote wire to it. When I tested it out later the door speakers didn't work, then I realized that the blue/white wire was the remote wire for the stock amp, so right now I have 3 wires spliced together. So basically my question is, if I bypass the factory amp do I need to worry about the remote wire or will it not matter anymore since the door speakers aren't powered by the amp anymore. It's hard to explain what I'm trying to ask so hopefully someone understands

If you bypass the stock amp, you no longer need a remote wire to turn it on as your not using it anymore. But any other amp you have will need it.

Ok thank you. Is bypassing the amp as easy as cutting the wires that go in and out and splicing the same colors?
No you need to run new wires from your new amp to the door speakers. That's probably why your door speakers don't work.

No they work now, the new amp is just a sub amp, the first guy answered my question I just need to know how to bypass the factory amp to have the door speakers run off the head unit

Yes you can do that. You don't have to run new wires to each speaker, just better that way.
Not entirely sure the wire colors are the same for in and out of the amp though. Been a while since I have done your year.

Ok thanks, I'd rather splice them since it sounds the easiest, I'm not the best with electrical work, I'm surprised i got the sub and amp working on the first try
