Hello all,

Have been reading the posts on here all night, trying different things, but to no avail. Firstly, I have a 2000 Chevy Tahoe LS (new body style) Non-Bose. The issue: Sound from old Kenwood head unit abruptly stopped, therefore, replaced with new and having same issue with new Kenwood. New Pioneer speakers installed last year. Have checked all wiring to head unit, including remote wire to pink wire (secondary harness), checked fuses (interior and under-hood), etc. I have spent all night researching and have came to the conclusion that the amplifier, itself, must be bad. My dilemma that I have now is that it appears there is not a bypass harness made for the 2000, or a DIY on how to manually bypass the non-Bose amp. Hopefully, someone can give me some guidance on what wires to splice, it seems like it would be a simple process. (Already have located the stock amp)

Thank you in advance!!

the amp behind the glovebox has one plus that will have your standard GM speaker wire colors. just cut them at the plus and extend the wires up to your radio behind the dash.

I'm doing this exact thing at this point myself so I'm already into it. I know how you feel with yours seeing that there really isn't proper harnesses etc for some in that year (that's when it all changes). I've got the factory sub amp etc working and am only left dealing with the RAC so i can have my music back there too. I'll figure it out soon, maybe today. I've gone through mass amounts of diagrams, pictures and forum posts and i think I've got enough little pieces of the puzzle to solve this. I will take a picture of the wiring and write out the diagram for you too. First though, check that fuse.
