This is more of a general mechanic question. I have a 2013 Chevy Tahoe with 60k miles. I recently replaced the rotors and brake pads. The Tahoe drives great but i still notice a light grinding squeaking noise while I'm driving slow and I press the pedal lightly and slowly come to a stop. I'm wondering if my front brake calipers are going bad or if I need new brake oil? Any suggestions?

it's normal for friction brakes to make noise

you should hear the sound my bicycle makes
it sounds like a 18 wheeler drum brakes

jack up the front wheels and spin them to see if you hear the same noise, then while they are up off the ground grab the wheel and see if there is any play at 12 & 6 (there should be none) and you can also check at 9 & 6 there will be some play because of the steering. if there is play or a grinding noise when spinning the wheel/s then you likely need a new wheel hub/s sometimes one will go out soon after the other.

Yes my buddy changed the wheel hub for me. I posted a few months ago about the road noise I was having and it was the wheel hub. My buddy who is an expert mechanic even put really nice rotors that are drilled and slotted. The tahoe drives great except for that dam noise when i'm going slow. I'm not a mechanic but it sounds like the capliers dont grip. Maybe i have air in brakes

Mine squeal something fierce while backing up, it's embarrassing. This started soon after we did the rear brakes! I may have found a solution and was meaning to post on it earlier today.

Anyhow, I frequently check for updated part numbers over at ACDelco's website and came across a new addition on the brake side of things, Drag Reduction Clips. Don't recall ever seeing them before in life, they are not on my truck at present.

However, we are about to replace the front brakes and bought a set for the front and rear and this may help with squealing as well as fuel efficiency and brake pad life. What do y'all think?
