I'm a noob here but I can give, hopefully some better info to help myself out. Ive done alot of searching and you guys have some good info.

I have an '05 serria denali with the projectors and regular bulbs. I bought the HID's and swapped them in. They turn on everytime no problem. The issue I h ave is that they are flickering, more so on the passenger side than the driver, but at times the severity swaps. I read that the voltage could be dropping after start up, I went out with a multimeter and checked(while my truck was running) and had 12.9v when they turned on, as the began to warm up, I finished and stayed steady right around 14.1.

I've read about the domb light and the PMW signal. I'm not sure if my truck has the PMW, but I do have a switch for the dome/interior lights to stay off. And also about the little resistor that gets put in for the sensor for the DRL. So I guess im tryign to understand what I have, and how to fix it. I have more than enough mechanical ability and tooling to do whatever.

Hmm, I see I posted in the wrong section..sorry about that..I have an '05

Is this relay setup somthing I could make myself, I can do it for next to nothing. I have teh supplies. If theres somthing special in the wiring I'd buy it, but I can keep it cheap if I do it myself :)

Also what is all the stuff about the DRL, and the resistors? I'm just curious on that stuff..

I also did not mention, I have the 35w hid's and I'm not having a problem with them turning on. I read the symptoms, and they dont flicker until after they've warmed up. This could still be fixed by the relay? Thanks again guys..

honestly, for the $15, the relay in inexpensive enough, and will fix all the issues you mention.
