Another remote door lock problem

So i bought a new key fob from the dealership yesterday and tried to program it to my 02 but couldnt get the truck to go into the programing mode by taking the listed steps in the programing instructions.... Even tried to disconnect the battery cables then holding them together for 30 seconds and then again with the key on to drain residual voltage..... Still cant get the truck to go into the programing mode so my question is where is the reciever on the truck ? Is it in the computer ? Cant seem to get it to program if the truck isnt going to cooperate and yes my truck did come with factory remotes when i bought it i just lost the original ones and need to get going again.... Wow how much did the dealer charge you for a remote? I've had good luck on Amazon.com for about 24 bucks but I guess if the truck won't go into programming mode it won't go

$50 at the dealership.... I was impatient and just had to have it.... Lol

Nobody knows where the unit is that recieves the signal from the remote to lock/unlock doors ??

does the DIC have any error message, such as "service tire pressure monitor"? mine was not programmable until i clear that message on DIC

Actually yes it does .... I need to replace my knock sensors.... Maybe thats the problem , i ordered sensors, gasket and a harness so once that repairs done i will clear the codes and try again. Thanks !!!
