another ticking noise question

Hey guys just bought a 2005 Denali w/ 108k.. Decided to day to change plugs and wires and run synthetic oil thru it. Got everything done, now there is a ticking noise coming from either right side or on top of motor. Never heard this before until now. Not even noticeable when I have the the plastic covers back on. No CEL's, runs smooth and strong, just the ticking noise is what concerns me. Almost sounds like a lifter.. Suggestions pls.

From i can gather its either:
1: lifter tap: I ahve this, hears what mine souds like. Tick tick tick
2: spark knock (which from what i have read is normal for our trucks when you first start but should go away with in the first couple seconds.

Ticking sound Burb, like I said never heard till after the oil change and when I put on the plastic covers you can barely hear it.. just weird and its annoying me.
