Okay well as much as I hate making threads I have seen enough its something I must do..
So I feel like its time to tint my windows in NJ here you can get a quality tint job all the way around for under 125 + lifetime warranties so I'm going to jump on it!!

Bu I'm not sure what to go with % wise I have looked at sample pics online buy there all sorta shoddy and seem inaccurate in the differences..

I'm looking to do.. The front windshield "bar" over the stock tint..
The rear window and rear side windows (not sure what tint % either)
And more importantly the front driver and passenger side windows.. I know for a fact it's against Nj law to tint them but I dont want people looking in on my vehicle I'm a student at college and really rather not have kids looking up in the hoe.. Besides it looks better ;)

Any suggestions or pics of your rides with tiny and % would be really helpfully I'm looking to do this next week sometime thanks guys!!!

$125 all around, thats cheap!
Are your back windows not already tinted from the factory? I ask, because many, not all, have an already dark tint- but some people tint over the factory tint.
If it is against the law for your front two doors, I would not go too dark. It used to be illegal in MO, and I always got pulled over. Also, the darker you go on the windshield and back windows, the less light will come in to the vehicle making the fronts look darker.

Are you factory windows behind the driver's door factory tinted? If so, just do the front doors and call it a day. It cost me $100 for two doors and a windshield strip. I went with 20% on the doors and 5% on the strip. Remember the darker you go, the more likely you will get stopped or people will be more inquisitive and see what you got inside(thieves).....

LEGAL in WI is like 50% on the fronts so I'm taking a chance. 20% matches up almost perfect to the factory, otherwise go 35% on the front doors. Also tinting below the "A" line on your windshield is illegal as well.....at least that is what I was told by the WI State Patrol when they had me pulled over ;)

I was thinking maybe I'll do 20 on the front two and redo the a line on the windshield and it'd darken everything up a bit. Yes I do have factory tint and it looks good may go darker not much though.

Garry, I did 20% all around on my truck back in '07 and I thought it was sufficient for AZ summers. You could still kinda see in the back but not really and the fronts were dark but you could see w/o any problems. After getting pulled over in CA, I stripped everything and went with 4-5% on the back windows and that is super dark. You can't see in and you can barely see out.

Here is with 4-5% on the back only:

Here's with 20% on all windows:

I've never done a brow or windshield tint so I can't offer any advice there, but I hope this helps at least a little.

I have 20% on my two front doors. It matches my rear factory tint almost perfectly. Look at the pic in my sig.

i have 20 on my fronts and factory rears.. matches perfect.. and a 15 Brow,, about to strip and 35 the shield, and 5 fronts and 15 over factory the rears and put a 5% brow on.. should be dark as hell.... been roling 20% for 10 years and well it is light to me..

neighbor who i tent with have 5 all way around on his wife's TB SS and the fronts mike at 2.5 - 5% over factory. and teh rears are 1.8... all i can say is thank god for back up cameras..
she has had it like this since the purchase date new in 06. so we dont think the town cares...

BUT in this Carolina summer heat and humidity sure does keep the trucks cool.. set of slim line window vents help a ton also..

I am a fan of Dark and the cops dont hassle.. well we roll our fronts down if pulled and never have issues... could be that the city gets Neighbor to tint there cruisers and they know us i dont know.. :secret:

oh 20 fronts is legal and anything goes for rear.. shield is not legal.. but 35 you cant hardly tell if the rest windows are black
