Im up here in michigan and i was wonderi g if anyone could tell me the exact laws or regulations on head/tail light tinting? I can find it anywere on the web. Thanks.

modifying headlights and tailights is illegal in every single state. you're not allowed to tint them what so ever. whether the brake lights are clear or not they are illegal. now some cops dont care about them and some do. i got pulled over twice for mine in the past week. once in Maryland where i got a repair order and another in virginia where i got a $30 fix it ticket. i decided to go with LED tails now that come smoked from the manufacturer. these are the only legal ones. any spray/tint film is illegal

another problem is, if some one hits you from the back and you have tinted tail lights the guy can simply say his tail lights arent clear and its automatically your fault
