usually those are put in the bottom of the door and connected to the interior lights so when you open the door it shines on the ground

I've seen posts in the "What have you done to your GMT900 today" thread and elsewhere of both. I like the lighted sill plates myself but find it hard to justify the expense to assuage my feelings!

possibly but I don't think they are that bright, most of them are made to go under the door sill, drill a hole and put them in on our trucks though we know they get filled with water so no telling how long they would last

I suppose they could be at the right angle, I have looked at few before but didn't really have the bug to do it.
