I'm wondering if anyone here has a Curt round tube style receiver hitch, model 13121, mounted up and if you could post up a pic.

Looking at the pics, I know it will be tucked up a little more but would really like to see it on a truck before shelling out the cash.

Close enough, that shows me what I wanted to see. Time to find the least expensive seller.

Couple places were all within a dollar of $150.00 including shipping. Ordered it from Amazon . com along with a few CD's I wanted....they were shipped free along with it. Supposed to be at the house by the weekend. Time to get some POR15 or At least do a quick blast with the Rustoleum rust converting stuff to where it mounts up.

I got the factory hitch on mine. Did yours not come with one?

Yes, and after 11 years and it not being painted or sanded since new, it was trashed, not only in appearance, but the steel was starting to flake or layer, like a damned pastry in many places. I hit it with paint just so it didn't look like it was some salt water salvage pieced. I took a wire wheel and a 3M nylon rust stripper wheel to it and it was just too jacked up to deal with. To get it sandblasted down to the white and then and then prime/paint it, I would have had about $110.00 into it. Much easier to get a whole new hitch.

I've never really cared for these big box section hitches on a Tahoe. Nice that they sourced these 10,000 pound capacity pieces and use them on 1/2, 3/4 and 1 ton trucks...but on a Tahoe where the tow capacity is barely 1/2 the rating? No thanks.

5,000 pounds dead weight or 6,000 pounds with weight distribution gear, more than enough considering I wouldn't want to tow more than 3,500 or 4,000 pounds with the power the 350 puts out....or the relatively undersized brakes we have. These tuck in very well and just look a lot better, especially if the truck is lifted a few inches and everything is more visible.
