Hello all,

This is my first post on this site. I just bought an '06 Suburban LTZ with 105,000 on it. I realize that you can turn the headlight switch back to turn off the headlights, but I would like to know if anyone has a permanent fix for this so they don't come on by themselves (I plan on putting HID's with a quad beam conversion kit in). I just don't feel like replacing a burned set of nice headlights.

Thanks

Found the answer I was looking for. Remove the vent left of the glove box. Next, reach in and twist the ambient light sensor mounted to the top of the dash until it falls out. Carefully fish the wires and the sensor out of the vent (the wires are cable tied in some spots). Cut the wires from the sensor and use the same 1.5 k ohm resistor to tie the two wires together and your done. No need to disconnect batteries.

Great to know. One of the best mods I've done so far. Still need to upgrade my sound though lol
