I have some bad damage to the front of 2001 Yukon. The truck hit a pole right in the center of the bumper.
Damage I can see...
- Front tubular frame cross brace was pulled away front driver side and bent. I went ahead and cut it away from the passenger side.
- There is another cross brace closer to the sway bar. It is welded to the frame rails. The Front control arm bushing mounts to it. The center is pushed back torward the engine and it bent the sway bar in the process.
My plan is to continue removing parts in order to get it running and driving. Then take it to a frame shop to line up the rails. I would then weld in the new cross braces that are pulled from junk yard frame.
Will I have any chance of getting this truck back together and driving straight?!?!
