Has anyone replaced their Bose radio with the factory UM8 navigation radio? There are a few floating around in junk yards for about $200. My '06 Z71 currently has the 6 cd UC6 Bose radio and this looks like a cheaper option than getting an aftermarket nav system. Most aftermarket systems require additional accessories to make the steering wheel buttons work.

TIA

It will work. It's typically less desirable than the touch screen models, which is why it's cheaper. You will still need the theftlock reprogram.

*EDIT*

If the radio came from a Denali or Escalade, you will also need its factory amp. If the radio came from a Tahoe, than all you need is the radio itself.

I've looked a several aftermarket double din nav radios but they all specify that I would lose the rear radio controls. Some have mentioned that I would lose the rear speaker amps as well.

So if I find an OEM Tahoe Nav radio will I maintain the rear radio controls?

TIA
