I have spent a few hours on this forum searching for the best offroad option in lieu of long travel and found your post. Your setup is exactly what I am looking for. I did not want to take a chance on King's and sacrifice the amazing OEM ride quality on my 2023. 1. What offset did you go with your wheels?
2. Was there much trimming involved?
3. Kings with or without adjusters? If without would you get with adjusters now?
4. Kings with or without lift? If without would you get with life now?
5. Camburg UCA's - Were they the ones for the 1500?
No worries, it is a 2021 Z71. Front and rear King 2.5's with Camburg UCA's. With a fender pullback kit this setup will fit 35's with no issues. With the 34's and no pullback kit, it barely rubs the carpet liner at full turn in reverse.I'm sorry I think I missed some details here. What year is your rig? What is your current suspension setup? Do you get any rubbing with the larger tires? Personally I don't want a six inch lift or anything, but I would like to get 35s under her, 37s if possible, and enough suspension to go exploring trails and do a little desert running without giving the little folks spinal compression injuries.
Is there a particular reason you went with the 2.5s over the 3.0s? This is all largely daydreaming now unfortunately, I made a crack at our last oil change about the garbage oem tires that we keep replacing and repairing and swapping them out with a set of 35" MT Baja Boss all terrains. She spent the next five minutes hearing about how they're seeing major parts failures from guys running "big boy 35s" and how some poor schmuck put 35s on his 3500 and 7k miles later he had to replace his tranny out of pocket because 35s void your warranty. We did a little light off-roading a week ago and some tires and suspension upgrades would have gone a long way (so would some lockers) but she's now convinced that 35s break trucks. /end rantNo worries, it is a 2021 Z71.
