I recently bought a 2007 Denali for my wife.
It seems to have a non factory dipstick in it, and the hash marks are wrong. It looks like its waaaay overfilled, to the point I drained the oil the dealer just changed before we purchased it because I was convinced it had 2 quarts too much. Low and behold 6 quarts drained out, and I wasted 50 bucks on some more synthetic oil. The oil pressure sensor is also kaput and the oil pressure gauge on dash is not working because of this. I hooked my scan tool up and the sending unit is showing 130 psi which that freaked me out!
After I drained the oil and replaced it still showed 130 and doesnt fluctuate even a tenth of a PSI when I hit the gas, so I know the pressure sensor is toasted, sure scared me though!
Anyway, the dipstick seems to be the right length, and when I compare part numbers all the motors in this family (5.3/6.0 etc) have the same dip stick and this one I have is the correct length...
Anyone else run into this? Just wondering if all the dipstick are off, Id rather not replace it with the same wrong nonsense
