MPG is down slightly. Truck is approaching 150k miles and the front O2 sensors have never been changed. Not throwing any SES codes. I see they are $20 on Amazon so it's not like it would cost a lot.

Anyone replace their front O2 sensors and notice any benefits or am I wasting my time?

im at 178k with stock fronts, i wouldnt worry about it until it throws a light. as long as there is no light, they are within their allowed range. but if you do decide to do them, they arent that hard at all. i paid ALOT more than $20 each, but i just put some in my dads esky. didnt notice any difference before or after, except for that cel

also from what ive seen personally, most of the o2 codes i have seen are the o2 heater circuit. the heater just helps the sensor get to operating tempeture faster, and doesnt effect performance really. now if you get a low voltage 02 code, youre prob going to be feeling the effects of it

Me personally, I wouldn't change it until a code pops up for it!! Have changed out O2's before they were needed to be changed and it didn't make it run any better!

kman, if you just want to drop a few spare bucks in your truck, drop $30 on a scanner setup for a laptop. i got mine off amazon for $30 and it shows real time read outs for all the sensors. get that for $30 and see exact readings from all your sensors. then change the them if your not happy with readings

this is the one i got: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002PYBZJO/ref=oh_o01_s00_i00_details

I changed mine at 185k and I am monitoring the mpg to see if anything has changed. Should know in a tank or two.

Between the two tanks running 93 non-ethanol gas after changing sensors I monitored the first tank at 13.6 MPG and the most recent tank at 14.55 MPG. I don't know if this was the only fix to my old 10-11 mpg but it has def gone back to normal range. I still thinking of replacing the MAF due to random starts that instant cut-off. For the $60 and do it yourself change, I would say do it. It didn't hurt my pocket to spend the $
