So here's my story...I have an 04 Denali and the rear wiper stopped working. I took the bezel off to take a look and was lazy and didn't put it back on. Went on a mini vacation and my nephew climbed through the back window to the third row and kicked the locking mechanism for the lift glass. Now sometimes the glass will lock shut and sometimes you can just lift it without hitting the button. The dash now keeps saying back door open and the lights don't turn off. I ended up unplugging that. Well I finally got a new rear wiper motor and swapped it tonight and it still doesn't work. I know I did the install proper. The fuse by the driver door looks good but I swapped it anyways and no luck. My next thought is that maybe cause the glass doesn't lock proper that is the issue and the plug I had to undo. I see why the glass won't lock but I don't know how to fix it. I'm able to hold it by hand to override it and the wiper still doesn't work. I'll post a separate thread with a pic about the lock mechanism but in the meantime what should I check next for the rear wiper. Feel like I just wasted forty bucks on a new wiper and the old one probably works. I didn't do anything to the truck prior that I can think of that would have affected it. And to top off the frustration the water will still squirt so seems there is power getting there. In other words would the wiper not work because the truck thinks the back door is open?
