I just bought my 2002 YD in December with 106,000. I had my buddy do the 100k service on it and nothing else has gone wrong up until recently. When under load (kids, luggage, dogs in rear), the air compressor cycles quite often; more so than when empty in the rear. I've checked the shocks, which appear to have quite a bit of oil on them and, due to the high mileage, I figure it's about time to swap out anyway. I just received my Arnott shocks/compressor (front/rears) and will be replacing next week when I'm off.
I might have overlooked the answer when doing a search on shocks/ auto ride issues and replacements but here's my question:
Is there anything special to know before I dive in? What's the time frame I'm looking at to replace the fronts, rears and compressor?
I tried to find a tutorial but so far, no luck.
Thanks for the assistance.
