Autopage RS730 alarm, alerts trunk even when disarmed?

Hi all,

Have a 10 year old Autopage RS730 that has been falling, due to a trunk trigger on my 2003 Tahoe.

The weird thing is the remote beeps/alerts even when it’s disarmed to the trunk, and includes the trunk Icon.

What would cause this and how to fix? Or how bad would be replacing with similiar viper?

there is probably a way the reset the alarm brain, look for documentation or find a car stereo shop that has been around for many years.
if reseting the module does not correct the problem then I would be looking at a new alarm, viper is pretty good and has a lifetime warranty.
if you are unable to find documentation on the alarm or a shop that is familiar with it then you could try posting on the12volt.com but responses are slow on there you might not get a response for a while, but many alarm tech's do go on there.

Thank you! Will try and research a reset, I have the manual and box still LOL and found manual online.

Yes, will def go viper or DEI product if I do it again. Posted on 12 v without luck so far, I remember that forum!

usually there is a button on the brain or a external one plugged in and tucked away somewhere so it can be placed in valet mode, same button should be able to be used for a reset but you have to know the sequence, button presses/honks/ 1-2-3, 1-3-2 etc. key on/off yada yada
most of the time the same process is used across all the manufacture models so if you can find documentation for even a similar model the process should be the same.

also a simple google search found a standard procedure, you just to need to find the button (valet switch)

Thank you for reset info! I know exactly where the valet is as I used when it went off at a hotel at 4am and put in valet mode.

Had the manual saved but I will see if that reset procedure works for the 730!

If that solves this that would be awesome!! It went off in the garage last night with kids sleeping, I don’t even arm in garage but maybe hit the lock button. ‍♂️

May see if it triggers with factory alarm if reset doesn’t work, then I know it’s the brain/alarm vs rear hatch pin.
