Hello,

I have a 2002 Tahoe with the AutoRide option in it. My truck had been off the road for a few months bc the brake lines went as well as the radiator, so I decided to take it off until I completed those repairs. WHen I put it back on teh road now however I noticed that the compressor would not kick on. I did a few things and it turns out the compressor was shot. It was seized up inside (The truck is 14 years old, guess I should consider myself lucky it lasted this long). I just put in a completely new compressor assembly in the truck but the new compressor won't kick on either. I had three people stand on the back of the truck to bring it far enough where the system should start leveling off but no such luck. The 30amp fuse in the engine compartment (labeled "RTD") is not blow and is intact. There are no code at all in the system (engine, trans, suspension, SRS, ABS) so I am at a bit of a loss here as to what to do. Does anyone have troubleshooting information from GM for this system? Perhaps pin to pin checks to make sure there are no problems with the wiring. I saw a few people say I could be the computer module for the Ride Control in the rear passenger near the rear HVAC. They also said there was a software update for it but I have no clue if mine was done or not. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

My advice is to buy z71 springs and new stock shocks, maybe small spacers, and return your compressor if possible or sell on eBay.The air ride is expensive to replace w all components.I replaced all of mine( air shocks, compressor, lines) just to have shocks go out 2 yrs later, then the compressor ran until it was junk!I ended up putting a 2 1/2 key lift w spacers in rear and z71 springs ( extra 1200lb load capacity) and extended bilsteins all around and extended sway links,a arm links up front. The ride is way better and all in a weekend.Allignment of course.Maybe some bigger tires,285/70/17 fit nice on stock 71/2 rims

Mine went out, I bought Bilstein shocks and springs all around, pulled the fuse for the auto ride and haven't looked back. From everything I read and searched, it was expensive to replace the OEM components and I believe the Bilstein's give me a great ride.
