I am referring to the carpeted floor that folds up to reveal a storage compartment underneath. It appeared to have been damaged in shipping or while sitting on the lot.

Those wheels have to come from China, and boats aren't that fast. Be glad the wheel is under warranty, I had to buy one and it was $650! PLUS I had to pay a $50 CORE CHARGE (refunded when I returned the cracked rim). I thought Chinese stuff was supposed to be cheap...

I think we are talking steering wheel not 'put tire on it' wheel. none of which come from china since freight is to expensive.
I'd be curious if you called a GM online parts store and check wait time. You can jump online and order a steering wheel for a 17 in 5min and they show them as available. It may end up being a 3wk wait, but I'd be curious.

this is my line of work so here is kind of how it works, as soon as a new part is approved, service places orders as well as the production line. Both are technically supposed to have the same priority but if there are issues, service orders get pushed back. Plus, there is a bigger 'pipeline' of places service parts need to go, so it ads time before ti gets to the consumer.

Mwbutcher: "I never gave one thought about parts availability until unneeded them lol.......im getting a new 22" rear passenger chrome wheel for SLT Premium Edition and a new steering wheel and last but not least a passenger side fog light assembly. They said the wait for the wheel could run 8 weeks as they are on backorder. Steering wheel 4 plus weeks and who knows about the fog light assembly????"
8 weeks for a wheel, and 4+ weeks for a steering wheel.
The wheels ARE made in China. If you ever take a tire off, you will see it clearly marked 'China' on the inside.

Well here it is June 14th and I got an email from my service manager that said all the parts are in except the chrome wheel. He said that from his experience the chrome wheel may take another four to six weeks. So that being said into the service area it goes today. So as long as I know that it is coming from China LOL I can wait patiently knowing that they are going to replace it at some point.
One thing I didn't know is that the yukon's are shipped from the assembly line with black wheels and the chrome wheels are shipped separately with the dealer installing them. He said they cannot transport the Yukon with a 22-inch wheel on it.
So for my truck that came with the premium package, the dealer installed the wheels, chrome grill and gave me a crappy set of floor mats that cost $250 with nice red GMC logo on them LOL - anybody need to set ill make you a heck of a deal.......
