Comes up a lot: How do I get the 3rd seat out? Well...don't go by the Owners Manual. Mine said (Page 1-18 #4) "Squeeze the release lever in the lower middle..." Umm - NO SUCH THING EXISTS! Mine had a nylon tab you'd use to pull the seat back down from the rear. if folded forward. WRONG - I discovered...that "tab" could be pulled STRAIGHT UP and in turn pulls 2 cables inside the seat that unlock the little wheels.
2005 GMC Yukon XL SLT with the incredibly rare Stabilitrak/Squiggly Line/4-low buttons! LOL

Hey snow it stumbled me as well I am not sure if yours is like mine you better get out a little WD 40 and lube the metal. It happened that the metal was rusted and binding so it was not easy to move the back out.

I'll silicon spray all moving parts before I put it back in...man...the thing weights 100lbs! It had me going when the manual turned out to be wrong!!! May have overpaid for the 2005 Yukon XL SLT(AutoRide/Stabilitrak), but must admit it is way beyond pristine, more toward show quality. Not a nick, scratch or pinprick either inside (flawless leather), outside, or engine.
Oh - username - Own a place at Snowshoe Ski Resort. Start the morning at their Starbuck, combied the two: SnowBuck ! LOL
