Hello guys -
I've been wanting to do this for a while, so I bought a 1999 Tahoe and am working on doing a "Back To The Future Toyota" tribute build.
I've begun (quite boring-ingly) by replacing all the breaks, the alternator, the wiring from the battery to the fuse box and removing the pinstripes from the body with a lot of 3M rubbing compound and a "Power Cone." I've started fixing a couple small rust holes in one of the quarters as well.
Next, I'm purchasing a set of:
U.S. Wheel 94 Series Black Modular Wheels
And BF Goodrich KOA's (yes I know, not correct, but I'm open to suggestions).
I'm hoping to go with 285's and a torsion key/block lift, and get the stance of the tires about even with the fender flares. Then, it's old-school rectangular off-road lights on the roof and bumper bracket to sort-of mirror the look of the truck below.
I'd love your feedback on the idea and any thoughts/suggestions you have for my truck build. I'll post pictures as it comes along if y'all are interested!
