i hooked up a system in my truck, and have some experience with audio equipment, but for some reason i have some background static when i crank it up if the song hasnt started playing or it just cant drown it out. im using a pioneer head unit, infinity kappa component fronts, alpine 3 way rears, a alpine amp, no sub. any suggestions where to start?

i tried searching but all i found was engine whine and thats not what mine is... my problem is just that when the radio is cranked up over halfway or so it sounds like an old record with the background static noise... not like the engine whine that people have problems with...

it is an electrical hum from teh internal amp in thehead unit.. almost every stereo i have ever had has done this including in home ones.. if there is no signal and you crank it up it creates white noise.. the only time i did not hear this from a head unit it was a high end unit or a bose system made for clarity.
