Hey all,

New '03 Tahoe Z71 owner here. I knew buying an older truck would have some minor issues so here I am hoping I could get some insight.

When you put the truck in reverse, the outside mirrors tilt up.. which seems reverse to me like something was wired backwards or something. Wouldn't these normally go down? Thanks in advance.

put truck in reverse and move them to where you want them at... it is a memory system, not a factory preset position.

When I first got mine I had all kinds of stupid questions. Half the battle was just figuring out the programming/settings and how to keep them the way you want. I had a hard time figuring out how to make the stupid seat NOT scoot waaaaaaay back every time I got out. I hate that feature. I'm not a big guy, I don't need it to get out of my way.

My radio presets still change or delete themselves or something all the time. It's annoying having to seek for my stations, but it just doesn't seem to want to keep them memorized.

When I got mine i spent 2 hours in the driveway with the Owners manual setting everything. It was FUN...

Glad to see I'm not the only one. I found the CD changer in my Merc on accident after owning it for a month too. Lol..

Funny you mention the seat too. The passenger seat adjustment scoots forward when you push the equivalent 'knob', however, the driver seat works in reverse-- forward moves it back. Weird stuff.

Oh yeah I bet it was FUN! I just look at my manual when I have a problem, and if I don't find the answer I post here.

that issue was determined to be a problem with the control module IIRC.
