Im using Pioneer's ndbt1 bu cam because of the overall picture quality. I've installed many different brands for customers from cheap to expensive and Pioneer's specs and picture quality is better than most others, especially in dark conditions. When searching for best nighttime visibility, look at the specs. A lower LUX rating is better for low light conditions and a ccd sensor is better than a cmos sensor, especially in low light.

I used a taotronics license plate frame camera with the infrared LED's. It was only $35 or so on Amazon. Picture quality isn't super amazing but it really get the job done. It's got pretty great color even in low light because of the really bright LED back up lights I have combined with the infrared light.
