I've been chasing a gremlin for a while now......I've only been driving the 2dr for 100 miles a month or so for fear of doing more damage.
So I have low miles on rebuilt trans. Maybe about 7-10k on it. Wasnt pleased with the shop. Moved to a new city and went by word of mouth to find a place quick for a rebuild.
Anyway......around town no problems. Highway speed and under a load when it gets hot I get a very bad shudder when giving it gas. Foot off pedal it goes away. Eventually it will go into torque motor lockout and it shifts like a Lamborghini under full power. (ie..violently) As if a horse kicks it in the ass.
Let it sit and cool....problem goes away until it gets hot again.
Is this the TM? Am I tearing up my tranny in the process?

In the future I would like to just get an entirley new trans if possible. One that can handle 5 tons or so of towing. Not sure if something like that is available.
