Well whats up guys, I am a newbie to this site. I am a member of the dodge ram forum, and I have gotten so much help there that I am now on here trying to find some help for my wife's Tahoe...

I am desperately looking for some LED tails for her 2001 Tahoe...problem is, it is the Barn Door style...no lights even on ebay!

Do any of you know some links to some? Your old site is not working well, I tried to search there with no avail...thanks ahead of time

I have these and this style and they seem to fit ok.

I'm not sure why they wouldn't fit. The issue with some of LED tails not fitting is the back-up light housing hitting the barn door hinges. Because these are in the middle of the tail light and not at the bottom, they shouldn't hit, like these: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2000...ptZMotorsQ5fCarQ5fTruckQ5fPartsQ5fAccessories

Best of luck and let me know if you have any questions.

I'm not real sure. The first one looks like it might be ok, but I'm not sure if the back sticks down so far that it would interfere with the hindge. I can't see the back of the second one to say for sure. I've also heard of people modding different versions of LED's to fit, so I'd be willing to bet you could do that with the first set if there is any interference.

Matt you have to understand something. First this is not the dodge forum you came from and are used to. This is a new site with a lot of previous other site member that have not made the transition yet.

Also, not a lot of us here have the Barn door style rear doors as you do. For me the reason why I dont have them is because of the lacking rear wiper and lack of aftermarket tailingh fitment. I am sure that only a handfull of members on this site have those style doors.

What sort of searching have you done?

Have you tried Ebay?

Have you tried looking at any auto and truck magazines?

I saw that your other site was having problems...and yes I know that this is not my Ram forum but that is why I came over here...but the help is coming now!!!

umm see the question about retrofitting them is the chrome...If I cut out that bottom hump it would be a black background, and I am not willing to do that much work for her car lol...

yes and every one on ebay says "not for barn door" dont ask me why we got the barn door style, seemed like it was a good idea in 01...lol soon to be upgrading to a new body style though.

that top one seems to be the right fit, but they say no barn door...

Can you take pics of the back of yours, then maybe we can compare to see if the others will fit.

Maybe we can compare them to mine, the non barn yard lights.

Umm shes gone I will have to take a pic later but i think i can explain it to you quite well...

The barn door has two hinges on each side, one up top and one down low...one is at the bottom half of the light. Say the light is cut into three sections...the lower half is recessed because of the hinge.

The reverse light on yours is where the hinge would be. The light would fit if you cut that out! The bottom of the light cannot stick out, all housings and plugs must be above the bottom box/plug on yours
