Ok so my 99 2 door has the barn doors in the rear. For whatever reason, they never lock. I'm assuming they're supposed to right? And if they are, where would the hardware for them be located?

Yes, they're supposed to lock. The hardware/linkage is inside the doors, just like the driver/passenger doors. If your 2 door is like my 4 door, the electrical signal comes in from the top part of the doors - hinge side (along with the rear defroster signal).

I had to clean my contacts with a pencil eraser for the locks and the rear defrost to work. I also need to spray some lube on the lock mechanism. It unlocks OK but it doesn't lock.

Yep got 5o looking and the contacts are super corroded. That explains why the defroster also wouldn't work. I'll clean them and see if it helps. Thanks guys.
