I've been doing a lot of maintenance on my '02 5.3l Escalade. Most recently included new fuel pump, fuel pressure regulator, new injectors, fuel filter, new upper intake and valley gaskets and new knock sensors. Out driving I got Service Engine Soon light and pulled the code P0332, knock sensor bank 2. I don't believe it's a sensor issue since the sensors and harness were replaced. The battery is new but truck has had a battery drain issue, when I had the intake manifold off, I tried my best to clean off the rear motor grounds. The drain is still present and I wonder if this is causing low voltage to the knock sensors? Does anyone have a link to a diagram for the ground so I can check all are clean and tight?

I had read elsewhere the code might also be triggered from a bad coil? Since I have slow battery drain, I definitely want to confirm the state of the grounds first.

If you use the DVOM and can see the drain start removing fuses and relays till it stops and then look at that circuit. A drain should not contribute to setting a code while engine is running unless maybe the alternator is a problem, possible diode problem. Did you use AC Delco knock sensors and Dorman or AC Delco harnesses?

The ground is the physical connection to the engine block itself.
