Hey all. Haven't been here in a while but after exhausting myself finding nothing by searching I gotta ask. Away from home doing military stuff and my wife called me yesterday to tell me that our 03 denali was so dead the doors wouldn't even unlock. My buddy went over and jumped it and it ran fine. She parked it last night and woke up to a dead truck again this morning. So to sum it all up my truck went from starting right up everytime to one day dead. The first time I chalked it up to a dome light or something getting left on, but she double checked everything last night. Anyone have this problem. I know there has to be a parasitic draw somewhere but I want to exhaust all options before I have her take it to the dealership just to be told that they can't duplicate it or some line of crap like that. Once it is jumped it works great but after 10 hours of sitting it's dead. Any help would be awesome.

How old is the battery? Do the connections at the battery look corrosion free?

So my buddy went to my house and hooked a meter up to the thing to look for parasite draw. Nothing but again this morning the thing was flat dead. Like 0volts dead. So We are going to go with the theory that maybe the battery just crapped the bed and replace it and see what happens. If that doesn't fix it I fear we r going to have to take it to the stealership.

is the charging system working as it should?
Do a stress test on the battery and see if it holds.
Also I have seen the brake light switch under the pedal get hung up. that will leave the brake lights on, since they're out back you never see it..

Tested the alternator and all and checked good. Wife did a thorough walk around after shutdown to ensure absolutely no lights were on. I'll get back to you if the battery fixes it.

Yeah, like mentioned, get the battery checked by an auto parts store to see if it has dead cells first before you buy another battery!

So turns out the battery was the problem. Well at least it's gone two days now without draining overnight.
