Ok, so I have continually drained an Optima Red Top. I recently purchased a Optima Yellow top.

I went to move the truck the other day and the yellow top was dead. I can say I may have left the passenger door open for about a week. That may be the culpret on this one.

However, an issue I am experiencing is when I attempt to tighten the positive terminal is slips and I have to re tighten it with the same result. I can see that the positive connections are not compressing.

I looked at the threads on the battery and they seem fine, so I am thinking the problem is more the threads on the cable terminal.

What are some side post terminals I may want to look at? Better than average?

In the near future I want to change to top post, but Im not there yet.. I imagine I will need longer wires for that, and I am not even really sure to start with that as well.

Suggestions for correcting the current side post issue and upgrading to the future top post would be greatly appreciated.....

you left the door open for a week and your truck is still there? Where is this magical place?

Mine would be stripped on the side of the road somewhere...

It was cracked. No magic. However in the back yard and locked none the less... A kid closed it...
