Started playing. The Axxess is wired up correctly (not much with the AVH 2400 NEX to do) but nothing seemed to work. I grabbed the original AM/FM GM radio and plugged it in. The clock spring is recent from eBay and all the DIC buttons seem to work. Now this truck NEVER had the options before so I'm thinking this is a case of the BCM needs to be TOLD I have the Audio controls..... doesn't it?

Especially with a 2006 with the interior as really "Plain Jane" as it came (rubber/plastic floor throughout)

So phase 1 of moving my Cruise Control wiring back into the Clock Spring is complete. I sat down and traced the 8 wires from the Connector back to the "Convoluted Wiring Connector" and documented all 8 pins it uses. (Two are shared pins but one of them is a splice into a common wire)

I made a decent Diagram I can post later if it's of interest to anybody. I can't be the first person to buy the wrong Clock spring and lose a feature ;)

Depinned them all with my Hook tool and on the weekend will move it back into the new Clock Spring assembly.

I have the Tech2 and some Donor BCM's I can mess with to try flashing a "Loaded VIN" onto the 2006 Suburban to get the Radio controls live. I may have to warranty or buy new another AVH 2400 (Pioneer) as it looks like the Hardwire Remote on mine is acting up. The minute anything is attached the volume just wants to go down, randomly changes the source etc

I'm going to use the BCM GM "Bricked" and see if I can overwrite it again first.

Promised I would share, here is the wiring that I had to put back IN since the Clockspring I bought was missing the connector for the Cruise Control in my 2006 Suburban.

Thank you all in advance. This will give me some reading and research before I hit the yard tomorrow to make sure I pull the correct wheel. I know the dashes are different when you cross to the '07 on some models.

Steering Wheel, Clock Spring wiring the same you think ? I can grab a wheel and clock spring for $50 to mess with so I might anyhow. Some fun in a scrapyard with an excuse to pull out a battery powered impact gun ;)
ok I have done this in my 2003 Tahoe, new harness, clock spring and steering wheel with the controls. BUT, I have a left-over plug that I do not know where it goes. Any ideas would be great, I did not find any open port on the BCM.
