I have a 2002 Tahoe 4x4; the belt makes a speaking/grinding noise when accelerating heavily, turning hard (left or right) or when wet. I'm not sure if its the serpentine belt, steeringbelt or more steeringfluid. Not sure what to do about it, but its occurring more often and is sometimes loud, then sometimes chirping noise. The audio is attached in a word document.

Thanks in advance for all the suggestions, thoughts, ideas and a hopeful resolution!

Look on your tensioner, there is an indicator if your belt is getting stretched out causing it to slightly slip whenever any extra tension gets put on it while driving causing the squealing

This is my guess, too. Either your belt is too old and has loosened, or your tensioner/s has/have failed and need replacement.

I'm 90% sure its the tension pulley, the serpentine belt is in good shape. Thanks guys, I'll update on what I find/fix.
