Best way to remove the dealer Sticker

im talking about the free advertising one--- ive heard seen-- goo gone, hari dryer, heat gun etc-

what have you actually used-- not a friend of a friend who knew michael jackson did this......

my god black is hard to keep clean-- layer of pollen even in my garage-- uggh.

and the fingerprints on the door when you shut it--- damn.

lots of weird things like the nav and dvd system can be used simultaneously- heaven forbid they be used at the same time.
i dont even know how it works yet

but ill learn to cope- i still love the truck-- nothing else sounds like it- i love the grumble

hair dryer should make it a bit easier to come off, then maybe you could use some goo gone... I usually have the dealer take everything off the vehicle before I take it... Pin stripes, and etc...

Try this. It's an eraser wheel. That's all I use and it works great.

Hairdryer will help as posted above, but after its off, if you have any residual left from the sticker you can use wd40 to get it off with a soft cloth. Then just clean off the wd40 and wax the area.

As the others have said, a hair dryer will soften it enough to use your fingernails to get it started. Take your time. A heat gun actually works better, but you have to be careful not to scorch the paint.

We used a heat gun to remove graphics from the racecar all the time with great success.

The rest of the sticky stuff comes off with Goo Gone, Goof Off or my favorite, 3M Adhesive Remover.

Its best to just have the dealer take that off or make them give you a discount for your advertising...this has been a peeve of mine for years I wouldn't buy a car with it on. BTW my '01 still has the window sticker residue.

3. Goo Gone and alot of patience to remove the residue!

I always make them remove it when I buy my car. I tell them unless they want to pay me $100 a month to advertise their company it will be removed, otherwise I'll walk.

But dental floss works also with a hair dryer, then just remove the residue.

I feel there should be serious judicial consequences for hit and runs, especially when the damage is over $300, so people will stop acting like ******* idiots about it.
If someone knocks my headlight out, then runs, I would be mad but that is just life, plus with a $500 deductable it will come from my pocket regardless, now if someone rips my bumper off, that is just completely messed up, and with a $500 deductable, plus higher insurance rates means screwed all around!
