I purchased 285/65/20 BF Goodrich all terrain tires today for my tahoe because I thought they would fit. Now Im going to have to purchase a lift. But I dont want to have to pay out all of this extra money but I want these tires. Is there anyway I can do this for less than $500?

Looks like those tires are measuring around 34.5", so you will definitely need a lift. Cheapest route would be leveling kit plus 2in body lift. Even with that, you will more than likely need to do some trimming. If you do the install yourself, for that setup, should be at or around $500.

Are you sure they are 285/65/20s (almost 35s)? Those are big and you will need at least a 4-inch suspension lift (not a level kit). Even at that height I am not sure if those will clear. Hopefully those with a full lift will chime in.
