Big headlight gap.

Anybody know why? I know for a fact the stakes are engaging both holes in the housing. These are aftermarket but my OEM ones are exactly the same fit.

Mine had a huge gap also, had to adjust both adjustment screws on the back until they sat right and then re aim against a wall to make sure they are even

You could also use your factory mounts and swap the aftermarket housing into the factory base

I did that. Are you saying theres a separate adjustment aside from the up/down left/right for the headlight beam?

No the two adjusters should have enough room to get it straight. If not you can try swapping the light into the oem base. 99% of aftermarket light fit like crap. When I first installed mine they were way off but I had enough adjustment to get them lined up

I’m starting to think these grilles sag a little after time and don’t hold their shape. You look lined up with the hood. I’ve seen these grille even sag in the middle on top by the hood. but I would play with different brackets and also different adjustments as they all fit within each other.
maybe a possibility would be to shave a little off the 2 stake areas where the stakes go. Idk just brainstorming.
Those are aftermarket oem style housings , but what brand ? I know some brands for much better than others. DEPO and TYC are usually the best quality and they both make oem styles iirc
