So, me and the wife came up on a 2003 yukon 4wd with 132,000 miles on it from a trade in at my job. It has the autoride suspension, but sways really bad from left to right on hard acceleration. I read that its the autoride ( which the message stated to service autoride) is at fault. I bypassed it already by disconnecting the battery and and removing the RTD fuse. It still does the swaying, so I'm gonna replace the shocks. Now I was looking and considering running the Bilstein 5100 shocks, but was wondering if anyone has ran these before and what they think of them. Its gonna be the family car, so ride comfort is a priority. Here is the link to the shocks

It will stay pretty much stock, just gonna order some LED tails ( the same ones I have on my 06) and some HID's. It has some Foose Heat 22's, but gonna end up selling them and getting some stock wheels or if I can some better looking 18's for it.

So the HD would be a better shock. Is there any other shock that someone you would recommend?

I amt personally running / in the process of getting the Stock Z71 shocks that come with the z71 trucks. They are red and made by Tenneco with a AC delco part number.

I have a 2009 Suburban and a 2002 Z71 Suburban.

Can't go wrong with the HDs though.

I think Im gonna run the HD's. Now just have to find some nicer stock looking wheels for it. I would love to do some 18" steelies on it. But have to stay within somewhat of a budget

Almost all of it was taken off when it was new and replaced with heavier components. I'd part it put to you (cheap) or bundle it all (even cheaper)...

Still not sure if I wanna let the steps go, but I prolly would for the right price... Just throwing this out there, hope I'm not out of line.

I run the HD's on my Tahoe. They improve handling, take a good amount of body roll out, but ride like shit even with my stock 16s on. Pretty stiff and rigid. At high speeds they do great, but around town you feel nearly every bump. Will last forever and take a beating though.
