blend door linkage

Hi, I have a 1997 GMC yukon. I'm troubleshooting a ac problem. It blows out at the feet and atdefrost, and barely out the vent when in vent mode. So, I was going to replace the actuator motor when I noticed that one side of the linkage was not attached. I can't see the spot where it attaches. Is it common for these to be broken? Is it the door that's broken off? Any help is greatly appreciated!

the door linkage comes apart occasionally.

I don't see the door shaft. It's also missing the arm. I was just at the wrecking yard, that door shaft is metal,i did get a arm hopefully I can find that shaft
